Argh! Why did Liverpool have to lose?
My favourite football club, Liverpool F.C., has just lost to Chelsea in the final of the Carling Cup.
Oh well, big bummer. I just can't help to think why. Why? Why did we have to lose when everything was going so well? I do hope however, that my fellow Kopites don't criticise Liverpool too harshly. It was a great, great, match and I have to say to the manager, "A job well done."
That does not mean though, that Liverpool should settle for less. Their ambitions should be always high. Like aiming to lift the Champions League trophy. (I know, that sounds unrealistic, but who knows? After all, Greece did win Euro 2004) We should set our sight on that now. Liverpool should perk up and get ready to blow past Bayer Leverkusen and into the next round. That will be absolutely great.
One needs to remember the soothing words from the immortal Liverpool theme:-
